Jesse Lou Shaw, age 84, a resident of Philippi, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday June16, 2019 at her residence. Jesse was born June 3, 1935 in Barbour Co. a daughter of the late Henry Moats. Jesse was united in marriage on November 19, 1952 to Donald H. Shaw who preceded her in death on January 12, 2003. Surviving are
Two sons, James C. Shaw and wife Leslie
Donald L. Shaw and wife Paige all of Philippi
Six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren
Jesse was preceded in death by two sons, Steven Shaw, and Thomas Shaw.
Jesse was a minister, a past Avon representative, and owner of the Christian Book Store. She enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jesse was a member of Silent Grove Church.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday June 19, from 5-8 pm and on Thursday June 20, from 8-11 am the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley and Rev. Shirley Webster officiating. Interment will follow in the Shaw Family Cemetery.

So sorry to hear about Jessie. She was such a sweet friend to me. Ive thought of her so often in these past few months. She will be so happy to be reunited with all those loved ones whove gone ahead. Goddbye Jessie.
