Joseph "Joe" Edward Price

Joseph “Joe” Edward Price, age 63, a resident of Philippi passed away Thursday January 30, 2025, in the Hospice House Facility in Elkins after an extended illness. Joe was born March 30, 1961, in Philippi a son of James H. and Martha J. (Poling) Price. Joe was united in marriage October 16, 1982, to Belinda Lucille (Winans) Price who preceded him in death August 31, 2010. Joe enjoyed going hunting and fishing, but the greatest time he loved was spending it with his grandchildren. Surviving are children, Keara Jo Fagons and husband Ron, Sabrina Dawn Oldaker and companion David Wiltse, Chris Oldaker; grandchildren Bridgette, Natalie, Arianna, Makinley, Taegan, Connor, Lucas, Makenna Oldaker, Paisley Jo Price; great grandchildren Nova Lyna, Samoni; siblings Gary L. Price and wife Brenda, James Rick Price and wife Cara, Kim D. Marsh and husband Tommy; nieces and nephews Niki, Chad, Travis, Donovan, Brian “Bubba”, Tracy, Skylar, TC, Trahern and Cody Joe was preceded in death by his parents James and Martha Price; wife Belinda Price. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday February 3, from 11am- 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm with Pastor Rick Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss I meet Joe and his family back long time ago he was a good person he been missed here he ask me for help when I work in mission store

  2. I have many fond memories of Joe as he was always ready and able to help my Mom, Audra Murphy, with her yard. She would go out on her front porch when she saw Joe on his porch, whistle, make the jester of pushing a mower and Joe would be over to work. She always gave him a “tip” so he could buy a cold drink after he worked. Prayers of comfort for the family.

  3. I am so sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. He was such a friendly guy and I always enjoyed our talks whenever he would come into the mission store and shop. I am sure he will be missed by many people. Prayers for the peace of God over his family and friends.

  4. I’m so sorry for your loss. He was a good friend . I’ll miss him . Sorry I’m unable to be there to say goodbye to my friend . Just know I’m thinking of him an I pray everyone can find in there hearts to remember all the good he did for others. Good man

  5. Sorry to hear about Joe. I was thinking about the times at Teter Lake fishing with Joey. Hope everyone is doing as well as we can at these times.

  8. My wife and I lived in North Philippi many years ago and Joe was a neighbor. He was always friendly and waved whenever he saw you. Our condolences to the family.
