Judith E. Harris, age 86, a resident of Mansfield Addition, Philippi passed away Friday December 8, 2023, in Mon General Hospital. Judy was born January 13, 1937, in Buckhannon, WV a daughter of the late Glen Everson and Carrie May (Molner) Sandy. Judy was united in marriage on September 18, 1954, to Ernest Bradley Harris who preceded her in death July 26, 1991.
Surviving are children Bradley K. Harris and wife Candance, Don E. Harris and wife Susan, Carrie Diane Martin and husband Rick; special family Shelia Brooks and Pam Harris; grandchildren Dusty Willoughby and husband Shane, Bradley K, Harris Jr. and wife Peggy, Reva M. Harris; step granddaughter Jennifer Cook, Judith Faith Harris, Brandy McDaniel and husband Randy, Rick L. Martin and Daniel Martin; great grandchildren Brian S. Willoughby and wife Shaley, Brittany Willoughby, William Harris, Ashley Harris; Step great grandchildren Briley McDaniels, Harper McDaniels, Lily Harris, Riley Martin; great-great grandchildren Erica Chastin Willoughby, Ivy Faith Marie Willoughby, Chastin Ivan Price, Klair Elisabeth Harris.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Glen Everson and Carrie Sandy; husband Ernest Bradley Harris; son Max G. Harris; brother Glen E. Sandy Jr., sister Carol E. Boyles, sister Virginia Jennie “Peach” Suder.
Judy helped to start the first Home Health in West Virginia and retired with 37 years of service. She was a health aide and then worked as the billing clerk for Barbour County Home Health. She was an avid Race fan from dirt track racing to NASCAR. Judy also loved to go to the beach.
Friend will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday December 12, from 10am- 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm with Rev. Ezik Norris officiating. A private family interment will be held at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of Judy passing. Remember Judy and Peaches when we were much younger. Indiana is now my home but WV will always be in my heart.
