Karen Ann Anderson, 74, a resident of the Boulder Community in Buckhannon, West Virginia, passed away Thursday February 19, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

 

She was born on June 25, 1951, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Howard Basil Anderson and Madlene Virginia (Markley) Anderson.

 

Ms. Anderson was employed as a real estate agent with RE/MAX, where she dedicated many years assisting clients with professionalism and care. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and playing solitaire. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family, especially her granddaughter. She was a member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Becci Ware and fiancé, Cecil Wilmoth, of Bridgeport; her son, Nick Parsons and wife, Kim, of Marietta, Ohio; and four stepdaughters, Gail Spayd, Sonny Baron and husband John, Billy, and Kristen Czerwieniec and husband Rob; stepson James “Billy” Parsons

 

Also surviving are her grandchildren: Master Chief Seth Parsons and wife, Tonita, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Johnny “Red” King and companion, Jeni, of Grafton; SSGT Joe King and wife, Angela, of Hampton, Virginia; TSGT Matthew King of Hawaii; Jordan Ware and Kenyon Ware, both of Philippi; and Gemma Parsons, Levi McVey, and Leah McVey, all of Marietta, Ohio. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Haiden, Payton, Kamryn, Caiden, and Nathan.

 

Surviving siblings include Marj Crane and late husband Dick Crane of Florida; Larry Anderson and wife, Jeanette, of North Carolina; and Curtis Anderson and husband, BJ, of North Carolina, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She also leaves her longtime friend, Evelyn Hinkle.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Anderson, and one sister, Ellen Anderson.

 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

    • Becci , Tony and I were so heartbroken to hear this. Tony was in touch with your mom regularly and had just spoken to her couple of weeks before she passed. She overcame a lot of health issues and always bounced back. This last time, it seemed like she was doing very well and right back to her old self again. Thats what makes this news even harder. Hugs Becci, to you and the family. Please take care of your self during this stressful time. Let your immediate family and friends be a help and comfort to you.
