Lemuel Mayle (86) of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away on August 25, 2023, in Middletown, DE. He was surrounded by his family who would like to thank all of his extraordinary caregivers from Delaware Hospice.
Lemuel was born to William and Helen Mayle on June 28, 1937 in Grafton, WV. He was retired after 30 years from the Chrysler Corporation, Newark, DE plant. Lem was a member of the Newark Wesleyan Church and Cuzzart Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed leading the hymns at both churches with his beautiful voice that all adored. He was an avid hunter and gardener and enjoyed watching old westerns. Lem loved spending time with friends and family, all of whom he cherished. He was a generous man with a quick wit and joyful spirit who loved his beautiful West Virginia mountains.
Lemuel is survived by daughters, Victoria Edwards (Rick) and Cynthia Mazzotta (Greg), 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Susan Smithmeyer, brothers Lovell Mayle and Vincent Mayle as well as many nephews and nieces.
Lemuel is preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Kessler and his loving wife of 63 years, Dolores.
Services for Lem Mayle will be held on Saturday, September 9th at 11:00 at Wright Funeral Home in Philippi, WV with burial to follow in Norris Ridge Cemetery, Philippi.

Lemuel was more like my brother, than my brother-in-law. His kindness and caring ways for all were extraordinary. He and Dolores are now singing in the Heavenly Choir. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A very kind and sweet man with a quick whit and someone who you could feel comfortable around. So glad I have precious memories. I,m sure he and Dave will enjoy Heaven together.
