Lura Belle Spotloe

Lura Belle Spotloe age 90 a resident of Philippi passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 in Colonial Place. She was born November 25, 1929 in Belington, WV. She was united in marriage on November 11, 1952 to Leonard Spotloe who preceded her in death on July 23, 2000. Surviving is- One daughter, Paula Camarote and husband Jay of Key West, FL Three sons, Vic Spotloe and wife Andrea of Waynesburg, PA Larry Spotloe and wife Karen of Philippi Leonard Spotloe, Jr. and companion Paula Phillips of Onego, WV Four grandchildren, Three Great-Grandchildren Lura was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters She worked as a Laborer for Westing House, and North American Phillips in Fairmont, she was a union rep for this area and met and worked with Senator Robert Byrd, and Senator Jay Rockefeller. Lura loved to garden, play golf and was an avid Mountaineers, Pittsburgh Pirates & Steelers and Black Bears fan. She loved her family, and will be dearly missed. Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday. August 11th 2020 from 9-11am the service hour with Pastor Sam Haught officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
