Marguerite Mundy

Marguerite Joan “Marge” Mundy, age 86, a resident of Nestorville Rd. Philippi passed away Sunday February 28, 2016 in the United Hospital Center. She was born August 12, 1929 in Clarion Co. PA a daughter of the late Clyde Gale and Esther (Lerch) Stewart. She was united marriage on October 30, 1965 to John E. Mundy who preceded her in death May 13, 2005. Surviving are; Two daughters; Roberta “Bobbie” Lysinger of Philippi Carol Kallal and husband Larry of London England Two sisters; Rhoda Freas of Port Charlotte, FL Elsie Pelczarski of Oceanside, CA One brother; Richard O. Stewart of Parker, PA Three grandchildren; Jason Lambert, Kristin Karp and husband Dustin, Lauren Kallal One great grandchild; Tyler Karp Marge was preceded in death by seven siblings Marge worked as a personal administrator for ANPA in Reston, VA, she was a member of the Philippi OES Chapter #41, Garden Club, Tacy Seniors, Solo’s and the Crossroads United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. on Friday March 4, from 6-8 pm. The Philippi OES will conduct services at 7 pm Friday. Visitation will resume Saturday March 5, from 8-11 am the service hour with Rev. Gilbert Hart officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.

  1. Bobbi and Carol – I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom and my Aunt. She was a great lady and the two of you will continue her legacy. Take comfort in all of the good times you had with her, they will help carry you through this difficult time in you life. I am so very sorry that I wont be able to come out for the viewing and funeral but will definitely have you all in my thoughts and prayers over the coming days.

  2. Bobby and Carol and families, We are all going to miss Marge. She and John were good neighbors to have,since 1984!!
    She was a special person, always wanted to look her best and do things for others, including both of us and our children Thomas and Jesse. I will miss seeing her sitting on the porch and waving at us,talking to her in person and on the phone.

  8. So sorry for your loss. Your mom was a very special lady and it was a privilege to be her hairdresser for many years and even more special to call her my very good friend. I am sorry I could not be here to pay my respects to her, but I have to be out of town this weekend. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Losing a mom and saying good by for the last time in this life is the hardest thing you will ever have to do. Be of good cheer you have a chance to see her again in the life to come .
