  1. Jerry & Keith,
It's been many years since we road the bus and attended Philip Barbour HS! I pray that your Mother is having a wonderful time with Jesus…what a homecoming! May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

  2. Jerry and Keith

Your mother is the last of her generation on our little road in Arden and I will miss her. She leaves lots of good memories behind and I think warm thoughts of her and her friendship with my mom. I well remember their walks, together with Flodine, that they did each day in good weather. I loved looking over the river and seeing them together, walking on the grade. I expect there is a reunion about now and they are joyfully walking together again.

  3. Dear Jerry & Keith: I have been blessed with your mother's friendship for 36 years of my life. She and Daris were among the first people I met in Arden when I came in the summer of 1973 for the funeral of my great-grandmother Dutch. They came to the church to offer their condolences, and offered hugs and friendship that has continued all these years. I ate many a meal at Martha's table, where her fried chicken, biscuits and big plates of sliced tomatoes always warmed my stomach and soul. She was a good, Christian woman, who kept a nice house, a beautiful garden and flowers, and loved her neighbors and community. She was always there for any in need with potato salad, cakes or bread and casseroles and attended church faithfully. Her beautiful smile and her voice on the phone will be greatly missed. I was blessed to have had her as a very good friend, and I loved her.

  4. Jerry,
I just want you to know that I think your mother was a great lady. As a nurse at UHC it was a pleasure to care for her and to meet you.
