Michael Duane Hollen, age 56 a resident of Rt. 1 Volga passed away unexpectedly on Sunday June 6, 2010 at his residence. He was born May 24, 1954 on the Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, VA, a son of Blonda "Juny" Hollen Jr. and Elizabeth G. (Taylor) Hollen who survive at Volga. Also surviving are;
Two sons: Joshua M. Hollen and wife Samantha
Brian D. Hollen and wife Erin both of Belington
Two sisters: Beth R. Conklin and husband Tim of Elkins
Janette M. Snider and husband Doug of Philippi
One brother: Patrick R. Hollen of Philippi
Four grandchildren: Tyler M., Jaelynn S., Landen D., Briana E. Hollen
Several nieces and nephews
Mike loved his job and worked as a vendor and sold Snyder of Berlin Chips for Middletown Foods of Fairmont. He was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School class of 1972. Mike was a former Little League Baseball Coach. He was a man who loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday June 9, from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday June 10, from 8 a.m. -1 p.m. the service hour with Rev. Alicia Rapking officiating. Mike's request for cremation will be honored and will follow the services on Thursday.







So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He and Pat used to hunt with my dad. He will be missed. My prayers are with the family.

I'm very saddened to hear that Mike has passed away. I will always remember his smiling face, and I have many great memories of his friendship. My thoughts and prayers are with Mike's family for God's comfort and peace.
