Michael McDermitt

Michael D. McDermitt age 68 a resident of Elizabeth, PA and a former resident of Rt. 1 Moatsville passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011. He was born May 21, 1943 in Arden, WV a son of the late Lilah Gladyn McDermott and George D. McDermitt. He was united in marriage December 28, 1999 to Jane (Crossen) McDermitt who survives. Also surviving, One sister, Gladys Lee Everson of Ohio One brother, Patrick Goff of TX Niece, Lilah Phillips of Philippi Nephew, Greg Everson of Florida Cousins, Dr. Paul Flaherty Paul Flaherty Mrs. Mary Ann O'Reilley, all of PA Several great nieces and nephews Mr. McDermitt retired from Contenova Company as vice-president, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era, and he was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday November 4, from 2-8 pm and on Saturday November 5, from 8-9:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 am at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
