Patricia Ann Short

Patricia Ann (Bohan) Short fought a long battle with M.S. passed away on July 5, 2023.  She was born December 9, 1952 in Philippi a daughter of the late Ted and Winona (Hamrick) Bohan. She was united in marriage on May 22, 1971 to Bruce Allen Short who survives.

Patty is also survived by her son, Michael Allen Short of Morgantown; and daughter, Christina Ann Skidmore of Philippi. Patty’s siblings are Carol Sue Putman of VA, Thomas Russell Bohan of VA, Cheryl Lynn Wolfe and Nancy Jean Bohan both of Philippi; brother-in-law, David Findley of VA. She is loved by her three grandsons, Gabriel Michael Skidmore, Jessie Dean Farris and Aleczander Gabriel Skidmore, who all called her Pat-Pat. She also has several nieces, nephews great-nieces and nephews. Patty is preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Winona Bohan; two sisters, Sharon Fontaine Findley and Terry Lee Bohan, and son-in-law, Ronald Lee Skidmore, Jr. Mrs. Short spent most of her younger life raising her children and being a homemaker.  She also supported her husband with their professional photography business. She really enjoyed playing and caring for her grandchildren. Patty was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church. Family and Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory, 220 N. Walnut Street, Philippi, WV, on Friday, July 7, from 4-8 pm and on Saturday, July 8 from 8am-2pm.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm with Pastor Jon Villers officiating. Interment will follow at Jerusalem Cemetery.
