Phillip Anthony “Tony” Miller, age 62, a resident of Philippi, passed away Sunday July 23, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family. Tony was born November 28, 1960 in Monaca, Pa a son of the late Harry Allen Miller and Shirley Augustine (Malcolm) Miller. Tony was united in marriage to Mary Louise (Newman) Miller who survives.
Also surviving are children, Jason Anthony Miller and companion Trina Weaver, and Jessica Nicole Dancer; grandchildren Carlie J. Miller, Austin Michael Dancer, and Adyson Faith Dancer, step grandchildren, Damian, Ian, Chucky; sisters, Diana, Michelle, Gayle, Ellen, and Pam; several nieces and nephews, and his K-9 companion Boss Dog
Tony was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Shirley Miller; brother, Butch Miller.
Tony worked as a carpenter for CGP Development. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his 4- wheeler, and hunting for mushrooms. He also enjoyed socializing with is friends and cookouts. Tony loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday July 27, from 9 am- 8 pm and on Friday July 28, from 8- 11am. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery.







I’m sorry sorry to hear about Tony. He was a great friend when we were growing up. My condolences to the family. May God bless you Mary and the family. I’m sure he we be greatly missed.
To Mary, Jason, and Jessica, my truest condolences for your loss of Tony. There’s never a dull moment when he walked in the room. Always laughing joking. He will definitely be missed in the community. I could not believe I read this today, I thought he was too ornery to pass away. Gone but not forgotten.

Tony will always be n my heart ❤️ I remember all the Good Times when we was little n he always had to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich he would do anything for his grandma and grandpa Malcomb so I would like to say he going to be Missed by Family and friends RIP Tony I love you never forget ❤️
Will always remember him coming over to shoot the bull with my step dad (Eddie). They were never a dull moment with those two around! It’s comforting knowing they are both reunited. Two buddies together again. Rest In Peace Tony. So sorry for your loss Mary, Jessica and Jason.
