Regina Daugherty

Regina Sue Daugherty, age 53, a resident of Philippi passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in Broaddus Hospital after an extended illness. She was born May 26, 1958 in Oakdale, PA a daughter of the late Mary "Betty" (Parsons) Weese and Garfield Weese. She was united in marriage on July 4, 2001 to William F. Daugherty who survives at home. Also surviving is; One daughter, Angie (Braddock) Jackson and husband Henry of Huntington, WV One son, Ray Braddock and wife Ashley of Independence, WV Three sisters: Darlene Barker Judy Califf Kathy Newman all of Philippi Two brothers: David Parsons of Ohio Donald Parsons of Philippi Special friend Sean Porto Grandchildren: Hannah, Brandy, Dylan, Preston Ray and Gregory Blake Mrs. Daugherty was preceded in death by one son: Joseph Braddock, sisters: Dorothy Smouse, Mary "Rosie" Smouse, brothers: Carl Smouse Mrs. Daugherty was employed locally for the past 10 years. She was a member of Maple Run Church in Grafton. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved pet "Tootsie". She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home on Friday, April 27 from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, April 28, from 8 am-1 pm the service hour with Rev. Phil Nestor officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
