Robbie Dale Courtney, age 52, a resident of Philippi, passed away Tuesday March 26, 2024, in the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. Robbie was born September 1, 1971, a son of the late Darrell Ray Courtney and Barbara Deborah (Wilson) Foster. Robbie was united in marriage to Stephanie Ray (Delauder) Courtney who survives.
Robbie loved to attend his church Grafton Seventh Day Adventist Church in Grafton. Robbie was a caring person, he loved being around people and helping anyone in need. He enjoyed playing tabletop games especially Dungeons and Dragons, he also liked Star Wars, and anything Sci-Fi.
Also surviving is son Nathan Courtney; brother Jay Courtney and adopted brother John Hood; as well as several close friends and extended family.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday April 4, from 12- 7 pm.

Robbie was one of a kind. He always knew how to make us laugh at work. He will be sadly missed. Love, hugs, and prayers for his family
This was such a shock. Robbie was such a kind and caring person. I only knew him through work but I know he was a very caring person and he had a good sense of humor also. He will be missed. Prayers for his family.
My heart goes out to Robbie’s family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed by our staff. I thank him for all the laughs.
Robbie changed, improved, and saved lives. He has made an impact on our communities and families, which will have an impact for generations to come. Rest in peace my friend and thanks for all you have done!!!!!!!!
We will be together again, in our home in Heaven, when Jesus comes back for us, to take us home. Until then, you will always be in our hearts.
