Robert "Bob" Earl Haddix

Robert “Bob” Earl Haddix, age 84 of Audra Park Community, passed away peacefully at home January 24, 2025. He was born on September 17, 1940, the son of the late Atha Thomas and Agnes Clara (Smith) Haddix in Hall WV. He was united in marriage on April 3, 1965, to the former Sylvia E. Evix who survives. Also surviving sons, Robert “Robbie” (Carol) Haddix of Buckhannon, Mark (Marissa) Haddix of Philippi; daughters Brenda (Dana) Brown, Christy (Doc) Bush, and Lisa Hoagland all of Audra Park Community; brothers Gerald (Wilma Jean) Haddix, Thomas (Peg) Haddix, Randall (Debbie) Haddix all of Buckhannon; sisters Jean Long of Rock Cave and Dorothy McDaniel of Wallace, WV; sisters-in-law Taresa Haddix of Buckhannon, Ginny (Haddix) Shoemaker of Elkins; grandchildren Jason (Ashley) Martin of Elkins, Tyler Haddix of Philippi, Michelle (Jimbo) White, Michael (Cierra) Haddix, Cora (Linn) Baxa all of Buckhannon, Ashtin (Derek) Mick of Clarksburg; 10 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; and 8 step great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son-in-law Thomas Hoagland; two sisters Margaret “Peg” Payne and JoAnn Bennett; two brothers James Haddix and Richard Haddix. Bob worked for Larosa Fuel and Pete Dye Golf Club, which he helped to build and later retired. He loved to hunt, mow, weed eat keeping an immaculate yard and feeding the deer. He also loved watching westerns, Marty Stuart, and Gospel Shows. He especially loved his children and grandchildren and little dog Izzy. Bob’s garage was always open, he loved all his visitors that stopped to talk. He will be missed by all that knew him. The family would like to thank WV Hospice for the wonderful care Bob received, all the staff became our family. Thank you so much! We would like also to thank special friend Kim. Bob was a Christian by Faith. A graveside service will be held on Sunday January 26, 2025 in the Hunt Memorial Cemetery at 1 pm. with Lay Speaker Eric Maylee officiating.
