Robert William Humphries

Robert William Humphries, age 54, a resident of Philippi, passed away Tuesday January 5, 2021, at his residence. Robert was born March 8, 1966 in Morgantown, WV a son of the late Robert William Humphreys and Dorothy Jean Smouse who survives at Belington. Robert is also survived by step mother, Linda Humphreys of Elkins. Companion of 22 years Judy Patrycia of Philippi Sons, Kevin Batton of Florida Kenneth Batton of Morgantown Robert Humphreys of Morgantown Sister, Jo Ann Humphreys of Arden Brothers, Kenny Humphries of Philippi Ralph Humphries of Philippi Uncles Larry Humphreys of Philippi Butch Humphreys of Philippi Eight grandchildren Robert was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Norma and Dorsey Humphreys. Robert worked as a baker for several business and last worked at Dunkin Donuts in Delaware, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved to spend time with his family. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday January 9, from 10am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm with Rev. Troy McCartney officiating. Interment will follow in the Mary’s Chapel Cemetery.
