Roger Lee Campbell

Roger Lee Campbell, age 72, a resident of Belington passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Friday October 11, 2024. Roger was born November 10, 1951 in Clarksburg, WV a son of Wilmer A. and Dorothy Lee (McPherson) Campbell. Roger was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and side by side. Roger was a taxidermist. He enjoyed traveling, especially in the mountains. He was a very giving guy helping anyone in need. Roger worked for the Union Operators Local #132 as an operating engineer. Roger is survived by his loving fiancé Bernita Derry; son Jeremy Campbell; step-son Will Semmelman; daughter Ingrid Murphy; several grandchildren; siblings Ronnie Campbell, Barbara Ware and husband Ellis “Steve”, Donald Campbell and wife Susie, Paul Campbell and wife Vickie; half-sister Barbara Nestor; several nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by son Craig Campbell, and half sister Janet. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday October 14, from 10 am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm. Interment will follow in the Little Bethel Cemetery.
