Samuel Felton

Samuel Glenn Felton, age 77, resident of S. Main St. Philippi passed away Wednesday July 7, 2010 in the Davis Memorial Hospital. He was born June 15, 1933 in Barbour Co. a son of the late Hubert Dowden and Floy (Weaver) Felton. He was united in marriage March of 1956 to Patricia A. (Nutter) Felton who survives at home. Also surviving is:
One daughter: Debbie A. Urban and husband Brad of Arizona
Two sons: Jeffrey G. Felton and wife Kim
David Scotty Felton both of Philippi
One sister: Kathryn Freeman of Moatsville
11 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren
Mr. Felton was owner and operator of Felton Body Repair. He served in the US Army from 1953-55. He was a past member of the Philippi Lodge # 59 I.O.O.F, and the Philippi Baptist Church. He was an avid Nascar Car and a Bill Elliott fan.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday July 9, from 5- 8 p.m. and on Saturday July 10, from 8 a.m. -2 p.m. the service hour with Rev. Jon Villers officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery with Military honours being accorded.
