Sharon Kay Hunt, age 60, resident of Clemtown, WV, departed this life on Wednesday July 16, 2025 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on June 12th 1965 in Warren, Ohio a daughter to Richard “Dick” Mitchell and the late Lurae “June” Mitchell. Also proceeded in death by her daughter Ashley N. Hunt and her son Darien S. Hunt. She was united in marriage on May 24th 1986 to David A Hunt who survives at home alongside her beloved cat River. Also surviving: One son: Jeremy and wife Taylor Hunt and granddaughter Kylie of Bridgeport Brother Gary and wife Mahala Mitchell of Philippi Brother Larry Mitchell of Clemtown Sister Lisa Landers of Wytheville, VA Brother Eric (Speedy) Mitchell of Clemtown She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved as her own. Sharon had a gift for creating a warm and inviting home. She took pride in decorating each space with care and intention, making everyone who entered feel welcome. She loved to host dinners and gatherings, always making sure guest were well fed, comfortable, and surrounded by beauty. As a devoted stay-at-home mother, Sharon poured her heart into raising her son and making sure her home was a place of love, comfort, and celebration. Her passion for homemaking and caring for others touched the lives of all who knew her. As the proud owner of Mountain-ears Sweet Corn she poured love and dedication into every season. She loved seeing her loyal customers return year after year, and they became like extended family to her. Family will receive friends at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday July 19, from 12 pm- 8 pm, on Sunday July 20, from 8 am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm with Mr. Gary Freeman and Mr. Chris Starkey officiating. Interment will follow in the Hunt Memorial Cemetery.
