Shirley Yvonne Malcolm Corder, age 88 went to be with Jesus and her loved ones who have gone on ahead of her March 14, 2024
She is the beloved mother of Sherie Y. Bolton and fiancé, Jason R. Baber. Shirley was also mom to three children who have gone on before her. Arthella Paige Sariego. Arthella's husband Jose Sariego has passed as well. She had two sons, Glen Junior Corder II and Benton Malcolm Corder.
Janice White Wyatt was considered a bonus daughter.
She was a loving and proud grandmother to Eric Sariego (Michelle) Glen "G" Corder, Tom Haddix and Renee Haddix whom she called her angel. There is Lisa Fifield (Ron). Alex Bolton, Nicolette Sworen (Michael) Chelcie Pierce (Justin). Chris Bolton (Rachel). Marissa Means, who has passed.
She loved her great grandchildren also. They are Makayla Haddix Hoffman and husband Zane, Trint Haddix and Shelby Frey, Zac Sariego and Madison, Alyssa Sariego, Isiah Corder,
Noah Fifield, Chase Pierce, Parker Pierce and Addie Pierce. Mady Bolton, Emilia Sworen and also Keilei White.
Out of 13 brothers and sisters she has three siblings left Patty Post, Charles Malcolm (Jacky) and Frank Malcolm (Nancy)
She enjoyed crafting flower arrangements for family members graves and she loved her dog, Brown Dog.
Shirley retired from Broaddus Hospital in 2014 after 35 years of service.
She attended Holy Trinity Chapel and her faith carried her home on a beautiful day in March.

Friends and Family will be received at Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday March 17 from 5-8 pm, and on Monday March 18 from 8-11 am. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am in the funeral home chapel with Reverends Jeannie Lafferty and Patty Post officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
