Susan Denise (Gouer) Ball, age 55, a resident of Philippi passed away Thursday August 13, 2015 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born November 29, 1959 in Philippi a daughter of Joseph Lee and Beverly J. (Mitchell) Gouer. Susan was united in marriage on September 3, 1983 to Robert Allen Ball who survives at home.

One brother, Larry Joe Gouer of Elkins
Three nieces, Christina Gouer Maddy, Denise Gouer Fletcher and husband Levi and Jennifer Gouer Pritt.
Great nieces and nephews, Lily Pritt, Laney Fletcher, Lexi Maddy, Kayden Maddy, Layla Fletcher, Carter Maddy and Lincoln Fletcher
Susan was a culinary chef; she attended the Philippi Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School class of 1978 and a graduate from Pittsburgh Culinary of Art.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday August 21, from 5-7 pm. A memorial service will be held at 7 pm with Rev. Jon Villers officiating. A gathering will be held in the back room of Lil Moe’s immediately following the memorial service in celebration of Susan’s love and zest for life.
