Sylvia Mae Wentz

Sylvia Mae (Furr) Wentz age 85 a resident of Red Spruce Drive, Buckhannon passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at her daughter’s residence. She was born May 5, 1934 in Volga, a daughter of the late Ivory Francis “Buster” and Susie (Shepler) Furr. She was united in marriage July 3, 1954 to Sherman Wentz who preceded her in death November 26, 1988. Surviving is- One daughter, Peggy D. (Wentz) Haddix and husband Thomas A. of Buckhannon One sister, Betty Lou Albright of Pittsburgh, PA One granddaughter, Crystal Gayle (Haddix) Sisler and husband “Butchie” of Durbin Four great-grandchildren- Makayla Shiane Marks, Gracie Lynn Sisler, Johnathan Thomas Haddix and Siarra Hope Haddix Ms. Wentz was preceded in death by one grandson, Thomas Allen “TJ” Haddix and brother-in-law, Dr. H.P. “Pat” Albright. She loved her family, enjoyed traveling, cooking and baking. Ms. Wentz’s request for cremation will be honored. Special thanks to Mary Lou Johnson of Barbour Co.
