In Loving Memory of Tina Marie “Swaney” Holliday

​July 20, 1960 – February 7, 2026

​Tina Marie Holliday passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 65, with her loving husband, Randy Holliday, by her side.

​Tina spent much of her life looking out for others and being a voice for the voiceless. She worked and volunteered for many years helping children in the Barbour and Ohio County courts system, being a form of support for troubled teens and their family’s. She was a woman of deep faith who trusted in the Lord and loved her family with all her heart.

​She was happiest when she was with her family or outside—whether she was camping, fishing, or hosting a cookout for her friends and family. More than anything, she was a proud grandmother. She loved her flower gardens and her pets. She spent her final days in the company of her devoted husband, her children, her friends, and all eight of her grandkids.

​Tina is now reunited with her mother and father, Betty and Dorsey Upton, and her older sister, Rita Koontz.

​She leaves behind a large, loving family:

Two siblings, Chris Fridley and John Upton.

Her husband, Randy Holliday.

Her three children Jimmy Swaney, Regina Swaney, and Paula Swaney.

Her bonus children; Stanley Knight, Robert Knight, Kelli Church, Stephanie Holliday, Randy Holliday Jr. And Jeff Starkey.

Her Eight Grandchildren whom she loved deeply; Serenitee, Paige, Jackson, Abel, Bryson, Addison, Zuri, and Lucky.

And her bonus grandchildren; Andrew, Koltin, Avery, and River.

The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday February 15th, 2026 from 12- 2 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
