William "Bill" Creak

William “Bill” David Creak, age 70, a resident of Philippi, passed away Monday September 4, 2023 in the Rosewood Center. Bill was born September 18, 1952 in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late James C. Creak and Frances (Bonarrigo) Creak. Surviving are sister Cindy and husband Mike Goodwin of Philippi and nephews Michael and Pebbles Jodon both of Cleveland, OH along with many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph V. Creak and James C. Creak. Bill worked as an optician for LensCrafters. He enjoyed playing bingo, singing with the local group “The Good Ole’ Boys”, was an avid golfer, loved watching the Pirates baseball and old western shows, and loved spending time with his family and friends. Bill attended church at Monroe Chapel Church and Silent Grove Church. Family and friends will be received at the Wright Funeral home and on-site crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday, September 7 from 6 pm - 8 pm and on Friday September 8, from 11 am – 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Monroe Chapel Cemetery.
