William Streets

William M. Streets, age 82, a resident of Rt. 1 Wellington Heights Community Philippi passed away Sunday April 15, 2012 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV following an extended illness. He was born June 15, 1929 in Boulder, WV a son of the late Lester B. and Armelia (Saffle) Streets. He was formally married to Ida Mae (Paugh) Yarolin of Mantua, OH. He was united in marriage on April 16, 1982 to his loving wife of 30 years Rita (Henderson) Streets who survives at home. Also surviving are Four sons; Jack Streets and wife Sally Jeff Streets and wife Janice both of Buckhannon Bob Streets and wife Brenda of Mantua, OH Dennis Streets and wife Joan of Lottsburg, VA Two daughters: Linda Siple of Bradenton, FL Amy Mortensen of Philippi Two brothers: Howard Streets and wife Faye of Orville, OH David Streets and wife Nancy of Century, WV Four sisters: Velma Irene Keener of North Carolina Alice Orr of Akron, OH Margaret Perrine Of Walkersville, WV Pauline Bates and husband Buck of Volga, WV Mother-in-law: Ann Henderson of Philippi His best buddy Snuggles his dog 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchildren many nieces and nephews In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters: Wilda Arbogast, and Betty Stemple, one brother: Frank Streets Sr. William was a coal miner and having worked in Ohio at Rockwell International and Harbinson Walker for many years. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, the outdoors, feeding his birds and loved gospel and blue grass music. He will be sadly missed by family, friends as well as all who knew him. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday April 18, from 4-8 pm and on Thursday April 19, from 8 - 11 am the service hour with Rev. Jack Streets officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
