Berneda Hardin, age 83, a resident of Kasson, passed away Saturday October 7, 2017 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born November 1. 1933 in Barbour Co. a daughter of the late George Vernon and Wanda Gay (McDaniel) Haddix. Berneda was united in marriage on June 11, 1950 to Duard Gene Hardin Sr. who preceded her in death on September 15, 2012. Surviving is two daughters, Brenda Dumire and husband Fred of Kasson

Grandchildren, William Dumire, and wife Teresa of Morgantown, Bradley Dumire and wife Jamie of Belington, Joshua Dumire and wife Alicia of Kasson, Christina Compton and husband Ben of Lebanon, VA, Kevin Bender and Amanda of Inwood, WV, Christopher Hardin and wife Roxanne of Kasson, Thomas Hardin and Brianna of Kokomo IN, and Olivia Hardin of Kingwood

Great grandchildren, Natalie, Megan, and Alexandria Dumire, Ava and Logan Bender, Austin, Rylee, Hailey, and Alexis Hardin.

Berneda was preceded in death by infant brother, Charles Holbert Haddix, and brother Perry Lee Haddix. She was a homemaker. Berneda was a seamstress, baked and designed wedding cakes, she also designed floral arrangements. She was a member 50 year member of Phillips Homemakers, a past band booster member, a member of the Kasson Ladie’s Aid, and a member of the Kasson United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday October 10, from 5-8 pm and on Wednesday October 11, from 8-11 am the service hour with Speaker Brad Dumire officiating. Interment will follow in the Clemtown Cemetery.
