Beverly Lynn Miner, age 62, resident of Philippi, passed away from an extended illness on Tuesday January 21, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her beloved family and friends. Beverly was born July 22, 1957, in Canton, OH, a daughter of Arnold Eugene Dalton of Grafton and the late Matilda Jane “Barb” (Parsons) Dalton. Beverly was united in marriage on August 30, 1975 to her loving husband, Carl Miner who survives at home. Also surviving is

Beverly worked at Rite Aid and IGA in Philippi. She proudly went back to school to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse and graduated in 2003. She worked as a Nurse at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, where she was loved by all her coworkers and patients. She enjoyed crocheting and experiencing new adventures with friends. But most of all, she loved family vacations to Pigeon Forge. Beverly also served as treasurer for Philippi Southern Baptist Church where she was a member.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday January 25, from 5-8 pm and on Sunday January 26, from 8 am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm with Pastor Jim Strawderman officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
