My brother just forwarded the obit for Mr. Corder to me. He was my band director at Sutton High School for a year or two. I graduated in 1957. He was a wonderful teacher and we all loved and respected him. I know you will miss him but I'm sure your memories are many. You are in my prayers during this time.
MY MUSIC TEACHER 61 YEARS AGO
MANY STUDENTS LIVES WERE CHANGED FOR THE BETTER
THINKING OF YOU
LOVE AND PRAYERS
Jason, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I lost my Dad in November of last year, he was 87 also and a WWII vet. I'm quite sure that you loved him and will miss him just as I miss my Dad. My heart goes out to you and your family - and I will pray that God will assuage your grief and help you to remember the wonderful times you shared with your Dad. Kevin
Having been a friend of Todd's for several years and seeing Mr. Corder for years at school, he was a kind and generous man. I am saddened for Bennie and Jason's loss, including your families and all the grandchildren. May God's arms wrap around you and bring you and your families the comfort you deserve. Many prayers to you.
Jason and Brenda, So sorry to hear about your loss. Becky and I will lift your family up in our prayers. Jeff
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Mr. Corder was my band director at Belington High School. I think he had more confidence in my abilities than I did. He was a great teacher. I have remembered him fondly over the years. May God comfort all of you.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Corder was a very kind man with a great love for music. In Jr. High I use to walk three miles in the summer time just so I would not miss out on his bank practice. I pray God's strength to all the family.
Jason and Brenda,
I'm very sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
To the Corder Family...
I got to know Blaine over 20 years ago as the Key Club adviser and band director at PB. He always had a story to tell me about his band directing days. I always enjoyed our talks and truly missed him when I left PB in the late 1990s. He will be missed by all who knew him. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Blaine was a tribute to the teaching profession and a wonderful man. I remember him from middle school and seeing him frequently at Philippi Baptist Church. He was always interested in how I was doing when I attended Kent State University, having known music faculty there. Peace to the family.
So sorry for the Corder Family loss. He was a great teacher, whom I had for band class at Belington Junior High. He was so influential in my continued love of music and to become a teacher myself and was I priviledged to have Jason in science class early in my teaching career. Again, my deepest sympathy to his family. Dave Everson
Mr. Corder was my band instructor in 1962-63 and 1963-64 at Belington. He was a very kind and considerate person and we all cared about him very much. He missed his wife and son, and now he is with them. We send all of our thoughts and prayers to his sons. God Bless
Bennie and Cathy,
Thinking of you at this time and sending a hug your way. Take care and know that so many people care for you.

I just will remember your Dad as one of my many beloved teachers who helped me when I was in Jr High School. . He and Dad were co workers and were neighbors on Elk Street years ago before he and your Mom had moved away and then settled in Mansfield Meadow Hgts
I was out of town when your Brother Todd had passed way then... . Todd and I had some good talks when I used to go down as one of his patients.
Again , My deepest Sympathies are with you all
A wonderful teacher, mentor, director . . . the list could go on. I have many fond memories of my love for music that include Mr. Corder. Blessings to the family during this time of sorrow.
Mr. Corder took me under his wing and made me want to be the best I could be. I've always loved and respected him. He will be deeply missed.

I remember Mr. Corder so fondly as my first band director. He was a gentle and effective teacher who remained interested in his students far after they left his classroom. He was so kind to me each time I attended the Philippi Baptist Church while visiting my parents, Dick and Elizabeth Withers. His was a sweet spirit. My condolences to his family. Sincerely, Lisa Withers
