Bonnie Jean (Bennett) Pitzer, age 63, a resident of Thornton, passed away Monday July 20, 2020 in the Taylor Health Care Center after a courageous battle with MDS cancer. Bonnie was a volunteer EMT for the Barbour County EMS in the late 80’s, she worked as a waitress at Mellie’s Restaurant, as a cook at Broaddus Hospital, and in the bakery/produce department at Grafton Wal-Mart. She enjoyed playing bingo and making crafts and painting, Bonnie loved to travel and listen to her scanner, and had a great love for animals.

In honor of Bonnie’s request cremation will be honored. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors at Taylor Health Care Center for the level of care giving to Bonnie.
