C. Patricia “Patty” Marsh, age 88, a resident of Philippi passed away Sunday November 21, 2021 at her residence. Patty was born June 13, 1933 in Arden, WV a daughter of the late Harold “Speck” Hubert and Dorothy (Humphreys) Weaver. Patty was united in marriage August 30, 1952 to Dallas Odburn Marsh who preceded her in death September 10, 1993. Surviving is

Daughter, Sherry L. McCord and husband Marshall “Pete” of Clemtown
Grandchildren, Stacey Deann McCauley and husband Andy, Gary Michael Marsh, Brandy Lynn Bennett and husband Jeremy, Tabitha Marie Coder and husband Ryan
9 great-grandchildren, four great-great children and one expected great-great grandchild
Sister, Janet Catherine Dean and husband Lee of Ohio
Several nieces and nephews
Patty was preceded in death by one great grandson Donald Travis Haller; sister, Carolyn Sutton; brothers, Charles Lee Weaver, Clifford Ray Weaver and Harold Conrad Weaver.
Patty worked for Philippi Foodland and Empire National Bank in Clarksburg. She was a member of Mariah’s Chapel Church, Dorcus Rebekah Lodge, Pleasant Creek CEOS, Arden Senior Citizens, Grafton Choo-Choo Square Dance, and Country Motion Line Dancers. Patty enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. She sang in the choir, and played the piano at church services.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday November 23, from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday November 24, from 8 am – 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Clemtown Cemetery.







My mother in law- My heart. No matter what separated us in our lives, or what situations we had. She and I loved each other. And she was one of my best friends, strongest supporters. I will love you as long as I breath. Kiss Dad for me and my boy Travis. I will meet you at the gate someday
