Carolyn Joan "Jo" Dadisman

Carolyn Joan “Jo” Dadisman, age 91, a resident of North Philippi, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at United Hospital Center. Jo was born on November 22, 1930 in Philippi, WV a daughter of the late Issac and Ellen (Kelley) Dadisman. Surviving is, Daughter; Brenda Linger of Philippi, WV; son Tommy “Tom” (Tandra) Dadisman of Philippi, WV; grandchildren, Kelli (Steve) Robinson of Philippi, WV, Ryan (Scott) Linger of Martinsburg, WV, and Grant Dadisman of Philippi, WV; sister, Barbara Phillips of Junior, WV; niece, Kathy (Rodney) Price of Belington, WV; nephews, Johnny W. Heimaster of Columbus, OH, Harry K. (Lynn) Miller and David R. (Maureen) Miller both of Nitro, WV, Roger Harris and James (Carol) Harris all of Junior, WV, Todd (Donna) Athey of Virginia, Mark Athey of Tennessee; Great grand dog Cooper Robinson; Special friend, Melody Kaczmaerk of New York, New York. Jo was preceded in death by, sisters, Annabelle Heimaster, Janice Dadisman, Charlotte Miller, Jeannie Koontz, Kay Francis Dadisman, and Nancy Athey; brother, Robert E. Lee Dadisman; son-in-law Robert “Bob” Linger; niece, Debra Talbott; nephews, Mike Coontz, Philip Koontz, Joseph Harris. Jo graduated from Philippi High School with the class of 1948. She worked for the Department of Highways as a secretary from the mid to late 60’s. She was a seamstress and did alterations for the local business. She also helped with the cub Scouts for several years and always seemed to be up for a challenge with those boys. In her spare time, she also took care of and helped raise several children that will always hold a special place in her heart. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday November 4, from 6-8 pm and on Saturday November 5, from 9am- 12 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 pm with Pastor Jon Villers officiating. Entombment will follow in the Bryan Memorial Mausoleum.
