Catherine “Sissy” Andrews, a former resident of Glouster City and Vineland New Jersey, a current resident of Philippi, West Virginia passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Glouster City, Sissy was the daughter of the late George W. and Catherine F. (nee Smith) McCormick .
One of thirteen children, she is predeceased by her brothers Charles, George, Harry and Roy; her sisters Jacqueline Bartley, Sarah DeBosscher, Harriet Vanele, Georgeanne Stafford, Rebecca and Margaret Lewis. She is survived by her sisters, Edna Brangan and Diane Wirt.
Sissy is also survived by her husband, Raymond Andrews, son William Andrews and wife Angel, grandchildren Samantha Andrews (Parker Kelley), William Andrews, Jr. (Ashlee Huffman) and Sophia Andrews. She was blessed with two beautiful great-granddaughters, as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember her with love. She is reunited in Peace with her first child, a baby who passed away shortly after birth.
Sissy was a woman of great strength and independence. A talented dancer in her youth and devoted homemaker throughout her life. She took pride in creating a home centered around family. She especially enjoyed visiting Lancaster County PA and exploring the Amish Country- a place that brought her peace and joy.
One of her pastimes was writing letters, and she has a devoted pen pal to her late Aunt Edna Geiser, her niece Marie Foley and her sister Edna Brangan.
She faced life in her own way, and those who knew her will remember her for her strong will, her presence and her role she played in their lives.
Sissy’s request for cremation will be honored.
