Charlene Lantz-Cathell

Charlene Lantz Cathell, age 69, a resident of Grafton, passed away Monday August 3, 2020 in Grafton City Hospital. Charlene was born on January 17, 1951 in Barbour County, a daughter of the late William J. and Vonda Lee (McDaniel) Lantz. Charlene was united in marriage to Sonny Cathell who preceded her in death. Surviving is-

One daughter, Anissa Riffle and husband George (Bub) Riffle of Philippi.

Lesa Schiefelbein and husband Tom of Moatsville
Teresa Smith and husband Donald of Valley Furnace

Three brothers, Larry Lantz and wife Janice of Belington
Kevin Lantz and companion Maggie Tenney of Philippi
Mark Lantz and wife Rose of Philippi

Four grandchildren- Brandon, Ross, Trevor and Paige
Two great-grandchildren- Jaxon and Raeanna

She was preceded in death by brothers, Randy Lantz, Steven H. Lantz; Sons, Jesse Ross Sine, Jr. and Bradley Sine

Charlene retired as a Nurse from Davis Memorial Hospital.
Her crochet and needle point were exquisite, she loved spending time on the farm picking blackberries and making the best pies. Spending time with her grandchildren is what she loved most.

Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 2-6 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 6 pm with Pastor Michael Rexrode officiating. Ms. Cathell’s request for cremation will follow the services. Memorial Contributions may be made to a local Cancer Society of your choice.
