Prayers for the entire family, you all are in my prayers! Stay strong and know that It’s only see you soon, not goodbye.
IF TEARS COULD BUILD A STAIRWAY
AND MEMORIES WERE A LANE
WE WOULD WALK RIGHT UP TO HEAVEN
AND BRING YOU BACK AGAIN
NO FAREWELL WORDS WERE SPOKEN
NO TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
YOU WERE GONE BEFORE WE KNEW IT
AND ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY
OUR HEARTS STILL ACHE IN SADNESS
AND SECRET TEARS STILL FLOW
WHAT IT MEANT TO LOSE YOU
NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW
BUT NOW WE KNOW YOU WANT US
TO MOURN FOR YOU NO MORE
TO REMEMBER ALL THE HAPPY TIMES
WE HAD THROUGH YOUR SHORT STAY
SINCE YOU’LL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
WE PLEDGE TO YOU TODAY
A HALLOWED PLACE
WITHIN OUR HEARTS
IS WHERE YOU’LL ALWAYS STAY
OUR DEAR FRIEND CHARLIE
Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well.
Blessed be sweet Charlie, dear friend.
I have to say this was a very hard pill to swallow. Mr. Charlie was always so nice and caring! Every time Myself or my daughter Kiya came to visit my mother Vickie in Va. he always gave a very warm welcome. Kiya would always ask “Mom, where is Mr. Charlie from cause his accent is so country” and he would just laugh. Mr. Charlie you will be truly missed! You got your wings way to early but fly high and watch over all of us. My prayers and deepest condolences to your family and the Oakton Park Family! Rest peacefully Mr. Charlie! Heaven has gained a true angel!!!!!!

We are sorry for your loss. It was shocking to learn of Charlie no longer being here. We saw him everyday in the community. We always greeted each other. May Charlie and his loved ones be consoled with God’s grace.
He Only Takes The Best
A golden heart stopped beating.
Two shining eyes at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us.
He only takes the best.
God knows you had to leave us,
but you didn't go alone,
for part of us went with you
the day He took you home.
To some you are forgotten,
to others just part of the past,
but to us who loved and lost you,
the memory will always last.
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us everyday,
Unseen,unheard, but always near
Loved,missed very dear

My deepest condolences to Charlie’s family. Linda, I’m so sorry for this huge loss. I hope that in time you can find peace in your heart, and I know GOD will help heal the pain. We will always remember Charlie for the kind, funny, loving friend that he was to my self, my husband, and my two boys Robert and Zachary. He’s loving and caring heart gained my boys love and respect towards him.
He was always there when I needed him, including the many times I locked my self out of my apartment at Oakton Park, all I had to do was call Charlie and there he was to let me in with a “here you go again losing your keys” smile!
Charlie, you will always live in our hearts through all those beautiful memories we have. We will always love you and remember you. See you in heaven dear friend. Love you always, your friends David, Glendy, Robert, and Zack!
