Clayton A. Taylor age 73 passed away suddenly at his residence in Grimesland, NC on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. He was born September 5, 1937 in Lake City, Arkansas a son of the late Clyde Clayton and Jewel (Passmore) Taylor. He was united in marriage to Lola Virginia (Poe) Taylor who survives. Also surviving are:
Three Sons, Robert N. Taylor and wife Esther of Nixon, OK
Clyde M. Taylor of Mustang, OK
David T. Taylor of Yukon, OK
One Sister, Malinda Koonce and husband Edward of Mustang, OK
Six Grandchildren, Amber Dawn, Erica, Jillian, Charles, Nicholas and Christopher Taylor
Two Great-Grandchildren, Cheyenne and Edward
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by one sister, Jane (Taylor) Wilson of Jonesboro, Arkansas
Mr. Taylor was a well-known Professional Engineer and Electrical Engineer and enjoyed a 35 year career with the Federal Aviation Agency working all over the United States and several foreign countries including Chile and New Delhi, India. Mr. Taylor also served in the US Air force. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Mustang, OK
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday, January 1, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Mariah’s Chapel United Methodist Church at Clemtown with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Clemtown Cemetery with military honours being accorded.
