Clement Butler

Clement B. Butler, age 68, a resident of Rt. 1 Volga passed away Sunday February 27, 2011 in the United Hospital Center. He was born May 7, 1942 in Rising Sun, MD a son of the late Russell Butler and Sophia (Pierce) Butler who survives in Rising Sun, MD. He was united in marriage on January 11, 1965 to Beverly Ann Butler who preceded him in death on August 28, 2010. Surviving are: four daughters Peggy S. (Butler) Christy and husband Ray of Elyria, OH Bonnie K. (Butler) Wheeler and husband Dennis of West Alexandria, PA Lisa J. (Butler) Long and husband David of Venice, FL Michele R. (Butler) Fluharty and husband John of Frankfort, KY One sister: Joyce Lovelace and husband Homer of Parma, OH One brother: Richard Butler and wife Chrissy of Rising Sun, MD Dear friend: Wayne Faber of Apex, NC Seven grandchildren: Timmy Gregory, Eric Wheeler, Ryan Fluharty, Mariah Long, Nathaniel Long, Zack Fluharty, Isaac Fluharty. One great granddaughter: Becca Gregory Mr. Butler retired from Consol Coal Company as a mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, and fishing with his family and very dear friends. He loved watching birds and spending countless hours reloading gun shells. Mr. Butler was a member of the West Alexander First Christian Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday March 2, from 4-8 pm Funeral services will be conducted at 8 pm with Pastor Bruce Graff officiating. Mr. Butler's request for cremation will be honored and will follow the services on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org

He had a special humor about specially when you first meet him in his tighty whities. Always loved to spend time at your house cause your parents made you feel welcome.
