Cora Ann Spencer

Cora Ann Spencer, age 69, a resident of Ohio, went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2023, in St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV. She was born on April 26, 1953 in Clarksburg, WV a daughter of the late Joseph and Arbutis (Perry) McCauley. Surviving are her two children, Matthew Spencer and his wife Amber of Ohio, and Mary Watts and her husband Donny of Huntington; one sister, Tammy Shoulders and her husband Doug of Beverly; seven grandchildren, Braydon Spencer, Bentley Spencer, Brayleigh Ann Spencer, James Webb, Sierra Watts, Alyssa Watts, Shannon Webb; one great granddaughter, Claire; and one special friend John Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Arbutis McCauley; brother, Roger Lee McCauley; and one sister, Brenda Wiedenhoff. Miss Spencer was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, she was also a member of The Prophetic King of Glory Church on Huntington. She was a retired school teacher that enjoyed baking and cooking, along with spending time with her grandchildren. Cora will forever be missed, but her love will be cherished throughout her friends and family’s hearts. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday February 3, from 11 am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm with Pastor Randy Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in the Mary’s Chapel Cemetery.
