Dale Lin West

Dale Lin West, age 56, a resident of Philippi, passed away Monday September 9, 2024, at his residence. Dale was born March 15, 1968, in Chicopee, Massachusetts, the son of Samuel Lee and Glenda Faye (Hicks) West. Dale was united in marriage on May 11, 1991, to Judith Anne (Richard) West who survives.

Dale liked to kayak, take walks through the woods, camping, Friday family game night, weekend barbecues, playing with his dogs and cats, play games on his computer, and listen to various podcasts. His family was very important to him, he loved spending time with them, especially his children and grandchildren. Dale was very proud of the work he did with the Texas DFPS (Child Protective Services).

Dale served in the US Navy from 1986-1990. He was a member of the American of Foreign Legions in Key West FL and Horizon City TX.

Dale is survived by his mother Glenda Faye West; wife Judith West; children Robert Harrison Dronsfield and wife Christina Andrea, Hillary Anne Rosburg and husband Bryan Ray, Zachary Hunter West and wife Aileen; grandchildren Eli Shaw, James Allen Rosburg, Benjamin Ryan Rosburg, Madilyn Elizabeth Anne Rosburg, Felipa Luna Dronsfield, Aria Sol Dronsfield, Samuel Lee West, Richard Liam West; and great-grandchild Anela Lucia Rae Rosburg, who Dale was looking forward to meeting; siblings Dewayne Lee West, Nora Faye West, David Allan West and several nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his father Samuel Lee West.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday September 14, from 5-7 pm. A time of reflection will be held at 7 pm.
