David Lee Moats, Sr.

David Lee Moats, Sr., age 66, a resident of Felton Hill Rd. Moatsville, passed away Saturday February 10, 2018 in the United Hospital Center. He was born September 3, 1951 in Warren OH, a son of the late Edna Mae (Moats) Pritt and stepfather James Pritt. Surviving is Companion Sylvia Teter of Moatsville Son, David “Davey” Lee Moats Jr. and wife Stephanie of Harrisonburg, VA Sisters, Anna Peterson and husband Ivan of Windom, OH Teresa Mullins of Philippi Brothers, Danny Harvey of Windom, OH Dale Harvey of Newton Falls, OH Grandchildren, David Lee Moats III, and Sadie Lynn Moats Several nieces and nephews David was preceded in death by sister, Shirley Everhart, brother, Richard Lynn Moats, sister-in-law Roberta Harvey, brothers-in-law, James Allen Everhart, and Calvin C. Mullins He was a woodworker for Dingess Lumber David enjoyed hunting, watching wrestling, spending time with his grandchildren, and loved his dog Cena Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday, February 12th from 5-8pm and on Tuesday, February 13th from 8-11am the service hour. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
