Donald Michael Fink age 77 a resident of East Main St. Clarksburg went to be with the lord Friday, May 15, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 3, 1932 in Tucker Co. a son of the late Luther "Creed" and Gertrude Evelyn (Smith) Fink. He was united in marriage June 30, 1950 to Mary Jo (Marks) Fink who survives. Also surviving:
Four Daughters: Donna and husband Alan Walker of Thomas, WV
Bobbie and husband Bob Quattro of Davis, WV
Marianne Lambert of Pierce, WV
Kris and husband Rob Jones of Philippi, WV
Three Sons: David and wife Beverly Fink of Manassas, VA
Daniel and wife Susan Fink of San Antonio, TX
Paul and wife Rachel Fink of Bunn Level, NC
One sister: Barbara and husband Jerry Pierce, WV
20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren
In addition to t his parents, he was preceded in death by one son-in-law Robert "Scott" Lambert.
Ret. Msgt. Fink served in the US Air Force from 1951-73. He was also a retired coal miner.
Don was a member of the Barbour County Club. He loved golfing, reading, music, and was an avid sports fan, although his favorite activity was just to spend time with his family. Don was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be greatly missed by all.
Mr. Fink was Catholic by faith, and a member of the Immaculate Conception Parrish in Clarksburg.
His request for cremation will be honored.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi, WV on Tuesday May 19, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. the service hour. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. the Rev. Fr.
