Doris Darlene Moore, age 60, a resident of Philippi, passed away unexpectedly Sunday July 24, 2022 in Broaddus Hospital.  Darlene was born October 28, 1961 in Akron, OH a daughter of the late George William Shine Sr. and Mildred (Golden) Shine.  Darlene was united in marriage on May 15, 2004 to Larry Moore who survives.  Also surviving is children, John Joseph “Joey” Shine and wife Kim of Philippi, Andrew Tasker and Loni Tasker of Lenox, WV, grandchildren, John Joseph Shine, Jr., Nichelous Shine, Austin Shine, Evan Tasker, brothers and sisters, George William Shine Jr. of Liberty, IN, Allan Oscher and Norman McClain of Indianapolis, IN, Lewie Shine and wife JoLynn of Morgantown, Frank Shine and wife Denise of Philippi, Ron Shine and wife Debbie of Morgantown, Vera Speicher of Westover, and several nieces and nephews, Mother-in-law Emma Jean Moore of Philippi.

Darlene was preceded in death by daughter Ashley Tasker, sister Marsha Ann Shine, and sister-in-law Tina Shine.

Darlene was a member of On Target Church, she enjoyed going camping, attending family reunions, music shows, elimination dinners, and gun bashes.  She loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday July 27, from 11am-7 pm and on Thursday July 28, from 11am- 12 pm.  Funeral services will be conducted at 12 pm with Pastor Gary Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery.  Condolences will be expressed to the family at www.wrightfuneralhomeservices.com
