Guestbook

  1. Ernie was a great man with a very big kind heart. He will be greatly missed by me and my family. His days here were cut shorter than we like but I know he is not in any pain, and is being well taken care of now and has no worries. He is in Heaven with his family and loved ones that have gone on before him. We Love and Miss You Ernie!

  2. My thoughts are with you all as his family. .

I know his nephew Michael Cunningham and saw where he had passed away on 5-28-11 on Mike's facebook page and Gig Golden's facebook page. We have yet to go thru that loss with Mom being in the hospital.

  3. Jonathon and Gig, I am so sorry for your loss. I know this is a very tough time for you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God grant you strength and comfort, and remember he always has the final say.

  4. Although it was omitted from the obituary published in the Newspapers, Ernie was preceeded in death by one son, Leonard Sturm of Philippi and survived by one daughter Sharon M. (Gig) Golden of Philippi as well as their children and grandchildren. I would also like to thank all of those who rememebered Ernie and his family!

  5. “Heaven's train has come 'a callin'

The conductor tells me “time to go”

    I hadn't seen it comin'

    I wish that I'd 'a known

Soft smoke is billowin' billowin' up

The train whistles a fluted sound

And up eternity's track we'll go

    Leavin' this earthly ground

I'd like to have known my passage was booked

    The fare paid…my departure planned

'Cause I was just as surprised as you

    When from life-to-death I spanned

So here I stand on the departure docks

    And into eternity I'll go

We Love and Miss you Ernie see you in Heaven

  6. I have alot of memories going to see my Uncle
Ernie, Hazel and Don when I was little. Which is where I first met Gig and Leonard. You will be sadly missed Uncle Ernie but now your journey has come to an end and you can rest and enjoy the company once again with your siblings – Jean and Billy. My heart goes out to Myrtle and her family as well as to Gig. I know what it's like to lose a parent. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
