Eleanor Jean “Jeanie” Marsh, age 77, a resident Philippi passed away Tuesday February 21, 2017 at her residence. She was born October 11, 1939 in Barbour Co. a daughter of W. Buford and Kittie (Webb) Cleavenger. Jeanie was united in marriage April 6, 1996 to Wilford D. Marsh Sr. who survives at home. Also surviving is

Brothers, John Cleavenger of Bridgeport

Richard Cleavenger and wife Patty of Bridgeport

Jeanie was preceded in death by two sisters Mildred Lawson, and Betty Ann Wilson, and three brothers, Charles, Robert, and Benny Cleavenger

Jeanie worked as dental hygienist for Family Dentistry, she was a member of the Queen Esther Chapter #11 OES in Bridgeport, and the Pt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi, on Friday February 24, from 6-8 pm. The Queen Esther Chapter # 11 will conduct services at 7 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday February 25, from 8- 11 am the service hour with Rev. Kenny Kendall officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.

Wilford, Melinda and family, I got to know Jeannie when I worked at the Bank. She was a fiesty one! I enjoyed talking to her and Wilford both, even went to their home one time for 2 or 3 hours, just talking about Marsh history and such. Thinking of you Wilford, and your family.
