Ernie was preceded in death by sisters, Sarah Ravis, and two infant twins, brothers, Joe Baranyi, and Paul Seech, grandson, Garrett Seech, and great-grandson Rowan Seech.
Ernie retired from Badger Coal Company and had worked as a motorman. He served in the US Army during WWII. Ernie was a member of the American Legion Post #29, VFW Post #410 and UMWA Local #1512. He enjoyed watching sports, in his younger years he enjoyed camping, and loved playing scrabble. Ernie loved seating on his front porch with family and friends which was the gathering place to enjoy his spirits. He will be so badly missed by all.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday January 12, from 5-8 pm and on Thursday January 13, from 8- 11 am. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am with Speaker Joe Kiser officiating. Interment will follow in the Valley Bend Cemetery with military honors being accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Valley Bend Cemetery.
