Evelyn F. Cunningham, 93 of Century, WV passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Mansfield Place in Broaddus Hospital Healthcare Complex in Philippi where she had been a resident for the past year.
Born in Buckhannon on June 4, 1920 to the late Lee Brown and Kathryn (Finley) Brown; she was preceded in death by her husband Chester, her sons Ronnie and Robert, her grandson Robert Jr. and five sisters.
She is survived by her sons Daniel (Linda) Greensboro, NC and Larry (Rebecca) of Century; five grandchildren- Jerry, Pennsboro, WV, Rick (Cindy), Fairmont, WV, Steve, Richmond, VA, Matthew (Kelly), Oxford, CT, and Tricia (John) Gladstone, Greensboro, NC, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a faithful member of the Century Community Church and lifelong homemaker.
Friends and family will be received at Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday, August 20 from 5-8 pm and from on Wednesday, August 21, 8-11 am the service hour with Rev. Mildred Endrizzi and Rev. Earl Cayton officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
