Harold Gray

Harold Thomas Gray, age 74, a resident of Rt. 1, Union Community Philippi passed away Tuesday April 9, 2013 in the Broaddus Hospital Emergency Room. He was born September 24, 1938 in Parsons, WV a son of the late Herman Earl and Shirley (Kisner) Gray. He was united in marriage December 28, 1961 to Patsy K. (Jones) Gray who preceded him in death on September 16, 2003. Surviving are Three sons: Keith Thomas Gray Ronald Lee Gray Robert Earl Gray and wife Shelli all of Philippi Two sisters: Virginia Bohon of Akron, OH Wonda Carr and husband Leon of Newton Falls, OH Six grandchildren: Thomas Jacob Gray and companion Stephanie Marie Louk, Miranda Marie Gray and companion Ethan Michael Boram, Adrian Cole Gray, Alaine Kay Gray, Owen Grant Gray, Kaylyn Grace Gray Three great grandchildren: Ave Marie Louk, Payton Michael Boram, Braxton Blaine Boram Mr. Gray was preceded in death by two brothers, and one sister. He worked as a mechanic and operated the tire shop for Southern States in Philippi. He served in the US Army. Mr. Gray was an avid farmer and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a Methodist by faith. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday April 11, from 6-8 pm and on Friday April 12, from 8 am- 1 pm the service hour. Interment will follow in the Barbour Memorial Cemetery with military honours being accorded.
