Harriet Pearl Kennedy age 90 a resident of Mansfield Place passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 under the care of Mountain Hospice. She was born January 8, 1923 at Gauley Bridge, WV a daughter of the late Harry and Della (White) Persinger. She was united in marriage to Nathan Kennedy who preceded her in death.
Surviving are:
Three sons, Rookie Baughman of Baltimore, MD
Robert Baughman and wife Paula
Pickle Baughman, both of Philippi
Three grandchildren, Kristi Thompson and husband Craig; Rick Baughman and Nick Baughman
Two great-grandchildren, Grant and Blake Thompson
Several nieces and nephews
Ms. Kennedy was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Shelly Baughman; She was the last surviving member of her immediate family being preceded in death by brothers and sisters
John Persinger and Bobby Persinger, Matile Stag and Shirley “Perk” Persinger.
She worked as a Nurses’ Aide at Broaddus Hospital, and was an avid bowler.
Ms. Kennedy was Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday July 16, from 4-8 pm and on Wednesday July 17, from 8-11 am the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.

Harriett was a beautiful person inside and out. I will never forget her and will always be so thankful she was my mother's friend and room mate at Mansfield Place She was so kind and caring to Mom and we all loved her very much.
