Harry William Satterfield, Jr. age 72 and a resident of Center Hill Road Philippi, WV passed away Saturday, September 24 2016 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. He was born February 2, 1944 in Clarksburg, WV and the son of the late Harry William Satterfield, Sr. and Martha Ellen (Brannon) Satterfield. Harry was thrice married. First to Mary (Carini) Dutchess, second to Carla Sue (Sansbury) Nester and third to Barbara K. (Waugaman) Ridenour Satterfield.

Two daughters: Sacha Nicole Carpenter and husband Ronald of Parkersburg, WV.
Mariah Victoria Titus and husband Joshua of Lumberport, WV.
Two sons: Shane Anderson Satterfield and wife Michelle of Los Angeles, CA.
Jesse Ray Satterfield and friend Brooke Rutter of Elkins, WV.
Mother-in-law: Janice Waugaman of Volga, WV.
Grandchildren: Carmen Elizabeth Bowes, Joshua Spencer Bowes, Zachariah Zeke Carpenter, Emily Brook Carpenter, Seth Archer Titus, Vera Ann Titus, and one expected granddaughter in November.
He was joined in death by one daughter, Kellie Christine Satterfield.
Known in the area as Satch, Harry built custom cars since he was 13 years old and was a fixture in the Central West Virginia car and motorcycle scene. He was a cement finisher, a coal miner, and eventually owned and operated a vehicle restoration and custom paint business called The Color Shop. During his retirement he built a custom 1924 track roadster to enjoy with his family. Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending car shows.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi, WV on Saturday, October 1 from 3-5 and 6-8 PM and on Sunday, October 2 from 3-6 PM. A celebration of life will be held at 6 PM with Rev. Ruston Seaman. In honor of Harry’s request cremation will follow.
