Henry Flint, age 67, a resident of Fieldstone Drive, Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the United Hospital Center. He was born April 19, 1951 in Philippi, WV, a son of the late Jasper N. and Mary Virginia (Cleavenger) Flint. He was united in marriage in 1982 to Patricia Joe (Hudkins) Flint who survives. Patsy Flint of TX
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Ashley D. Harper; one sister, Martha Jean Flint Lang and one brother, Wade H. Flint.
Henry was a graduate of Philippi High School, class of 1969. He worked as a coal miner for Arch Coal Company, as well as a truck driver for Jones Trucking and Benson Trucking. He served in the United States Army from 1971-1972.
He loved to sing, enjoyed camping, horses, watching westerns, and was an avid outdoors handyman and jokester. He was a member of the Gospel Barn Assembly.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 220 N. Walnut Street, Philippi, on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 4-8pm, cremation will follow.

So sorry to hear of Henry’s passing. He was a very sweet, gentle man and a good neighbor. He will be missed.
Didn't know Henry that well but knew his dad well thru my dad, they fox hunted together. Great man and I'm sure Henry was as well. Prayers and thoughts are with the family.

Henry was our dearest friend for many years. He was the best man at our wedding with he and Patty driving all the way to Nashville up to visiting with Jim several weeks ago after retiring from the church. What a visit they both had! Talking of old times, all the horse riding and hours of laughter camping at Twin Lakes. The kids and grandkids we love like family. Two old cowboys reminiscing of the good old days and singing down heaven at Gospel Barn! Oh how the spirit moved and now Henry just one step and breath ahead of us. See you soon dear friend. You’ve ran your race. Well done thy good and faithful friend.

To Carolyn and all of the family, So sorry to read the passing of Henry. Glad his suffering is over and he is at peace. May God be with all of you.
I didn't know how fortunate I was when I was growing up to have such a big family. There seemed to be gatherings quite often with aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. In addition we were lucky to have frequent summer farm visitors. Henry was one of them. I remember his visits fondly now despite the fact that Henry said I was bossy (true) and that we made him work too hard (not true), But as we reconnected in later years we bantered about all of this and laughed a lot. That seems to have happened a lot around Henry. Laughter and singing. We're going to miss that. But we can laugh, and we can sing, and we can remember.
