James Edward Yocum age 40 a resident of N. Walnut St. Philippi passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 unexpectedly from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born October 28, 1973 in Barbour County a son of the late Donna England and James Edward “Jack” Yocum who survives in Doddridge County. He was united in marriage October 7, 2005 to Rachael Rebecca (Wells) Yocum who survives. Also surviving,

one son, Trevor James Yocum
three sisters, Veronica Porras and husband Frank, of NC
Leslie Humphreys and husband Jamie of NC
Faith Ann Marks Kittle and husband Greg of Flemington
three nephews and four nieces
Mr. Yocum was a truck driver for Central Contracting
He enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, riding motorcycles, playing video games, horseback riding and playing with his children.
Mr. Yocum was a graduate of Philip-Barbour High School Class of 1993.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday, July 5 from 5-8 pm and on Sunday, July 6 from 8am-2pm the service hour with Pastor Howard Swick officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
